SemGen Ltd. (Semantic Genomics) is a Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) operating out of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Its target objective is to become a project partner, providing innovative products and services in bioinformatics, to consortia applying for European Union research funding, e.g. Framework Projects, or others. SemGen main activities are to develop and deliver expert systems based on novel software design and cutting edge CLOUD/GRID computing platforms that provide annotation of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic data that will have broad applications in the academic and industrial sectors for typical users with little or no knowledge of bioinformatics.
