Ground Zero Translations

Dear Visitor, If you are a direct client, outsourcer or agency looking for a translation service that is best suited to your needs, you have come to the right place. I have a Level 5 Cambridge certificate of Proficiency, and worked an English teacher for 12 years (2000-2012), teaching English as a second language to Brazilian students, while working as a translator in my spare time. I have worked as a freelance translator exclusively for the last 6 years. I have been an avid video-games player since the mid 80s. It was in the early 90s, when I started playing games on the NES, that my English began to evolve because of gaming. I have always taken a special interest in Role Playing Games, which forced me to do a lot of reading. Translation into my native language was a natural step when trying to beat any game. As time went by I became the one responsible for translating whatever was on the screen for my friends when we played games together. That went on as new systems were released. I have been playing games on consoles and the PC from the Atari 2600 all the way to the current gen on the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and XB1, having also owned and played countless games on the NES, SNES, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Gameboy Color, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP and PSVita along the way. It has been a lot of fun seeing consoles, PCs and mobile devices evolve so much. University and working have made me play a lot less, but I keep up with video-game news every day and play for a few hours every weekend. About 9 years ago I had the opportunity to start working with games translations. I am now a translator/proofreader for Keywords (Babel Media, Binari Sonori), Localize Direct, Alconost, All Correct, among others.
