Work involves advising ministries of finance and/or central bankers on a range of topics related to public debt management, ranging from capital markets, governance and operational discipline to more targeted projects such as: - Strengthening institutional arrangements - Developing domestic capital markets and annual borrowing plans - Bolstering debt management capacity, e.g. for Liability Management Operations - Designing strategies for managing key stakeholder relationships - Cultivating competence across core public debt management responsibilities The firm's consultancy work on public debt management is grounded in the established principles of debt management, as outlined in the guidelines produced by the IMF and World Bank. Projects are designed and implemented around best practice – yet consistently overlaid with, and compared to, the reality of the real-world capital markets and the private bilateral credit markets arena. Policies and strategies developed without consideration of, and consultation with, market players will be far harder to implement. This consultancy work brings together the academic background with the founder's practical experience of decades working successfully to bridge the gap between borrowers and bond investors & other creditors.
