Southern Equity is a family office investment platform focused on alternative and direct investments. Southern Equity provides investment screening, due diligence and deal support to its clients - primarily the family offices of successful entrepreneurs - who are offered the opportunity to co-invest in proprietary deals sourced and shared through the Southern Equity platform. Founded in 2008 as the family office of entrepreneur Allen Nance, Southern Equity became a multi-family office in 2019 when Allen relocated the investment platform to the U.S. Virgin Islands. There, Southern Equity benefits from tax incentives conferred by the University of the Virgin Islands Research and Technology Park (RTPark), an economic development program that promotes technology investment. Today, Southern Equity’s investments encompass more than 50 technology companies that generate over a billion dollars of revenue annually and employ more than 5,000 people.
