Phoenox Textiles are a family run textile manufacturer located in the heart of West Yorkshire. Established back in 1954 by Jack Mosley, the brand has evolved significantly in its nearly 70 years in operation. Jack was a local weaver who began by making fabric for bus seats and traditional hearth rugs that were woven from locally sourced wool, acrylic and cotton from Lancashire. Three generations later we are still manufacturing at our two sites in Scissett, Huddersfield. Phoenox is now managed by the third generation of the family; Adrian, Charles and Liz Mosley. Having started with just ten staff the company now employs over 150 people across its two locations and continues to go from strength to strength. Not only are Phoenox a private label supplier to many household names, but we also own a range of much-loved consumer brands, including the award winning Hug Rug, a range of eco-friendly barrier mats. Part of Phoenox's continuous strive for innovation is the team's dedication to environmental issues. The factory is zero to landfill and many of the rugs manufactured by Phoenox are made using recycled materials.
