Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir advances the choral arts through education, performance, and collaboration at the highest artistic level, fostering individual development and international relationships. PEBCC provides over 300 East Bay children and youth, ages 5-19, with excellence in music education via comprehensive, sequential choral ensemble training, community performances, summer camp intensives, professional collaborations and national and international touring. Every three years, we convene youth choirs from around the globe for the Golden Gate International Choral Festival - the only festival of its kind in the United States. The Choir is a both an educational institution and an arts organization. The two are inextricably linked and intertwined. We believe that music is good for children, and that choral singing is a deeply wholesome, invigorating, enriching practice. With over 300 students enrolled, ranging from 4 to 18 years old, our program draws from 22 cities in the Bay Area.
