FARI is a new non-profit charity whose goal is to advance our understanding of the links between fatty acids - in the diet and in the blood - and human diseases. In some settings, FARI scientists conduct studies using existing data bases from large prospective cohort studies where blood fatty acid data and disease outcomes are already known. In other settings, FARI can facilitate the analysis of blood samples for fatty acid levels in samples from either observational or interventional studies.
