We are the largest department working in the field of computer science and information technologies in the Eastern Slovakia. We provide the computer science program in all three study degrees. "Computer science is one of the most progressive and fastest growing fields directly affecting all of us and forming the future. Computer science and information technologies (IT) are nowadays an inseparable part of our daily life in all fields. Thanks to IT we can instantly share our holiday experience, buy presents from the comfort of home, reliably navigate to our target, let your car park or enable expert doctors to consult the treament approach at a distance. Exactly this kind of applications co-create the absolvents of Computer Science study programs. The goal of our Computer Science study program is to teach the students to understand in depth the potential of information technologies, to prepare graduates for applying IT and creating innovative solutions. We induct the students to the development of software systems, progrmaming and testing of mobile, web and cloud applications, computer games, database technologies, information systems security and computer networks. All subjects of the study programs are naturally linked and bring creative work within individual and team projects including the cooperation on projects with IT companies.
