OUR STORY BEGINS... … as a family business Mizarstvo Hrovat. We are two brothers from Slovenia who have been living around wood for our whole lives and have owned a carpentry workshop for more than 50 years. We have witnessed positive effects, but also negative consequences of the wood industry on our environment. Did you know that one and a half acres of forest is cut down every second? We decided to act. What did we do? Last year we became a CO2 neutral company, which means that we plant more trees than we use in our production, including compensation for electricity usage and greenhouse gas emissions from our vehicles. WHAT WE DO We donate our money to Eden Reforestation Projects, which arranges a team of local workers to plant trees in areas that are affected the most by deforestation. At the moment, we plant in Madagascar and Indonesia. We plant only trees that are native to the environment.
