The majority of potential candidates in the German market are so-called passive candidates who are not actively looking for a career change. They ignore job advertisements, but are latently open to discussion. From these candidates, I identify potential talents that meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, consultancies and agencies. To do this, I approach each one specifically and individually (Active Sourcing). Jobs advertisements alone are unsuited to activate the potential of passive candidates. Only an individually tailored approach to each passive candidate may provide a solution. Nowadays potential candidates can instantly recognise when being contacted in vague or mass approach manner. As a result, they do not feel personally addressed and hence do not respond. Based on my years of experience in communicating with candidates, it is crucial that I prepare myself carefully for every single person I approach. This means that I absorb each person's profile, background, career, as well as skills and competences.
