Swiss Club Singapore
www.swissclub.org.sgA Glance at our Past The Swiss Club was founded in 1871 by Mr Otto Alder and his friends. At that time it was known as the Swiss Rifle Shooting Club of Singapore, as friends gathered with their rifles for serious shooting practice in the forest at Balestier Road. In 1902, the Club maintained a 300 metre shooting range targeting the peak of Bukit Tinggi up until the Eighties. People did not only come here to shoot: during these early years the Club was also a home away from home for a lot of people and many friendships were formed there. The Swiss Club's land today spans a total of 174,000sqm. It provides a home not only for the Swiss Club, but also the Swiss, the German, the Dutch and the Korean Schools, the British Club and the Institute of Engineers. In addition, the entire Swiss Embassy compound is situated on Swiss Club land. The Club boasts a rich cultural heritage and active social life and has members from all over the world. About the Swiss Club The Swiss Club was established in 1871 and is one of the oldest and most historic Clubs in Singapore. Located on Bukit Tinggi, it is an elegant and family-friendly retreat surrounded by lush greenery, offering a fabulous setting in the middle of the jungle. We are proud of our wonderful atmosphere and ambiance. We offer a wide range of sports and other activities and are continually developing our facilities. Our most recent addition was THE GUESTHOUSE, which offers accommodation for visitors and provides offices for our staff. At the same time, we continually expand and improve our sports facilities, and offer a wide range of activities. Our pavilion and all other EVENT VENUES can be rented for meetings, conferences and other events. Attendees can dine at the ARBENZ and stay at The Guesthouse. The Swiss Club is an ideal setting for your regional meeting. And last but not least, we offer several culinary options in the JUNGLE BAR, PERGOLA, Rifle Lounge and ARBENZ restaurants.
