The term "Internet of Things" was an attempt to label "what", however it's been taken too literally. Connecting "things" to the actual Internet has caused so many problems that governments are introducing legislation to set minimum standards because of insecure or insecurable products. The real interest is not connectivity, it's the spark of numerous great ideas of how to make people's lives better, to improve our health, cut CO2 and occasionally just have fun! So we go person to person, changing IoT in people's imagination to the more valuable I4E "Informatics for Everything" because it helps answer the "why" and the "how". We discovered when you seek true value of why, becoming free of the wild west of the Internet and simply send messages, the whole purpose becomes easier to use and vastly cheaper to do. It took us 6 years to systematically rip up the IT/IoT rule book. We have now dealt with cost control, unsuitable standards, security, power and connectivity. That means that today instead of chasing small industrial applications, our plans are big, we want to meet the real challenge to bring consumer and manufacturer together at scale, we want to help Cancer research, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Initial cleaning, Dyson, Volkswagen, Adidas and the huge untapped wealth of other consumer product manufactures embrace I4E to make better products, to save Co2 and add value to their bottom line by using barcodes, QR codes, RFID and mesh WiFi devices.
