ToyWatch, leading company in the fashion watch industry, was set up in 2005 thanks to the creativity of Mara Poletti and Marco Mavilla, period watches lovers and collectors. The success came unexpected already with the first creations, presented first in the United States, and took the two founders by surprise; they then decided to turn their passion into a real business. In 2006 the entrepreneur Gianluca Vacchi, impressed by the first models on the market, decided to become part of the company, buying a 50% share (25% belongs to Mara Poletti and the remaining 25% to Marco Mavilla). Today ToyWatch is present in all the continents (America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania) with over 900 stores and over ten points of sale including flagship stores (Milan, Via Montenapoleone 25, Rome, Via del Babuino 143, Porto Cervo, Piazzetta degli Archi, 4, London, Regent Street) and franchised stores. ToyWatch collections are also available in the major fashion, jewellery and department stores worldwide. ToyWatch has always distinguished itself as an innovative accessory, with two spirits: a collection of polycarbonate watches, designed and created with the precise intention of being original, differentiating themselves with class. Luxury comes to life thanks to the juxtaposition of poor and precious materials; simple design with the utmost care for details. It is thanks to this “sophisticated” simplicity that ToyWatch soon became a synonym for glamour, a new and playfully mischievous luxury, to be shown off, as international movie and show stars know very well, like Oprah Winfrey, Alicia Keys, Naomi Campbell, Madonna, Michael Jordan and Sylvester Stallone.
