We widen access to the sea, offering sail training onboard, navigation training on land, using these activities to increase confidence and a sense of well being in marginalised coastal communities. We build relationships with individuals and organisations who are, or who work with marginalised people, helping them to get the most out of the activities and opportunities we provide to: build confidence and challenge develop employability skills work collectively improve decision-making skills work towards nationally-recognised qualifications We operate three vessels: 'Karic' a 10m Westerly ketch, 'Cascadeur' a 12m Jeanneau and we have recently been given use of 'Jalapeno' a 12m Standfast. We operate our RYA Training Centres out of Chichester marina and Southampton water and other activities along the south coast. In 2015 we became a RYA Sailability organisation. We see sailing as a tool to improve life skills, knowledge and attitudes. We offer a flexible approach, tailored to fit with your project's existing outcomes. We work hard to meet different learning needs and we are continually developing our resources for use with the whole range of people who come out on the water with us. In 2015, we had 177 people sail with us, over 130 boat days, sailing 3500 nautical miles and issuing 70 RYA qualifications.
