Family Based Care Tasmania (FBC) has been a leading force in the provision of community services in Tasmania for 30 years. At FBC we aim to make a difference to those who may be struggling with independent living – whether it be due to ill health, age or disability – by providing various forms of assistance. FBC support services help our clients to live independently in their homes for as long as possible. FBC is an approved provider of Home Care Packages and support services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Our service areas include domestic assistance, personal care, meal preparation, social support, assistance with shopping, respite and home maintenance and wellness and reablement. FBC also offers an affordable support service to individuals who are not eligible for government assistance. In February 2018, FBC expanded its business interests through the acquisition of Tidswell Consulting and Vocational Assessment Centre. Through this acquisition FBC’s service delivery model now includes professional Vocational Rehabilitation and Vocational Services. This is great news for Tasmanians who may be disadvantaged in the labour market - whether by injury, disability, education and vocational preparation deficits, or unemployment. Based out of our offices in Burnie, Devonport and Launceston, our highly skilled and qualified staff provide support services to over 1120 clients across northern Tasmania.
