Universitur is an NGO created by and for the students of the Faculty of Geography in the University of Bucharest, but also for anyone who wants to be part of the change they want to see in the world. Universitur is here to support creative ideas with the help of its enthusiastic volunteers. We specialize in non-formal education. Our projects involve students and foreign participants in mountain villages or on the Danube. We motivate people to get involved in the problems of society and to develop skills that will help them on their way. We organize exchanges, training courses, workshops, tours and get involved in all kinds of projects and activities. We use participatory arts, theater, storytelling and other visual methods, such as photovoice, to promote non-formal education (and advocate its inclusion in the formal education system).
