Savio Hockey Foundation (SHF) was founded in 2016 as the erstwhile Savio Hockey Club, by a group of hockey enthusiasts to regularly play, promote and revive the sport in Mumbai. SHF is a non-profit organization for youth development - on the turf and off it. Over the years, SHF has touched the lives of several hundred players across age, gender, skill levels and experience. It is a vibrant and diverse community ranging from beginners to former Olympians. Savio Hockey Foundation operates the SHF Academy in Mumbai that offers grassroots -to- advanced hockey coaching for deserving youth, by top certified coaches. We also prepare our youth for life, by way of mentorships, scholarships, and employment opportunities. We organize 2 tournaments annually, to promote the sport and unveil new talent, including Mumbai’s biggest hockey festival – The Savio Super 5’s. We promote Hockey for all-round mental and physical wellness, by way of leisure games, coaching, mini-leagues, and community building activities for children and adults alike.
