Due to the recessive genes, the expression of the color and its unique taste profile is easily thwarted by the presence of yellow and red genes in a given pollen grain. Pink Bourbon beans need very specific conditions to grow. The conditions of the region of Huila, Colombia, have been proven to be a ideal for this variety. Expierence black chocolate and walnut flavor with our Pink Bourbon coffee OWN PLANTATION In 2015, we started with the cultivation of Pink Bourbon coffee on our own plantation in Colombia. Our goal was to further learn about the production and gather experience. During the first production cycles, we were always in close contact with local farmers, especially Don Julio Muñoz, specialised in the cultivation of Pink Bourbon, to enhance the quality and enlarge the production. On our plantation, we tested different cultivation methods and learned about the characteristics of the Pink Bourbon.
