Ministry of Waste

www.ministryofwaste.co

Ministry of Waste is a resource recovery company that builds critical infrastructure in Indonesia to divert waste going to landfills. We supply large volumes of traceable quality material to domestic recyclers and our facilities help local governments combat their waste problems. You're wondering why we're doing this? Indonesia generates 66 million tonnes of waste per year; on average only 15% is recycled while the rest flows to environmentally destroying landfills or the ocean. Local governments lack the crucial infrastructure to solve this problem, while domestic recyclers are struggling to secure the required volumes needed to meet the growing global demand. To bridge this gap, Ministry of Waste builds and operates low-cost Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) with a processing capacity of up to 36,500+ tonnes per year. These profit and job-creating facilities are designed to be a low-risk solution to receive dirty mixed household waste and enable the recovery of large volumes of traceable and valuable materials. We provide a low-risk solution to deal with a complex problem. We sign long-term contracts which provide stability and consistency for government partners, and we employ community members to ensure local opportunities. The system is scalable and can be upgraded to meet higher demand. We are engaging with various international recycling technologies and working to adapt them to the local context to increase our operational efficiency, revenue and impact in the future.
