Vision Quilt
www.visionquilt.orgOur Mission: --Empower communities to create their own solutions to gun violence through the power of art and inclusive dialogue. --Organize workshops and exhibitions throughout the country, encouraging dialogue that focuses on solutions to prevent gun violence. --Help build consensus that will prevent gun violence and foster safe families, safe neighborhoods and safe towns. Our Vision: The Vision Quilt will create a national network of supporters cultivating compassionate, nonviolent change through the making and exhibiting of quilt panels created by thousands of people across the country. As participants from diverse backgrounds, including gun owners, engage in dialogue, a new culture will emerge that will lead to improvements in gun safety, including new legislation, mental health laws, police training and public education. The Vision Quilt panels will be displayed as a “virtual quilt” online and in exhibitions across the country where it will be shared with millions.
