Founded in 1987 when our Chairman, J. Patric (Ric) Murphy, purchased the rights to the Wade Log Periodic Antenna line from Geoff Wade, Wade Antenna specializes in the commercial VHF/UHF cable television antennas for cable operators in Canada and the United States. For many years our experienced team have been providing antenna solutions for TV broadcast signal reception and interference issues. The Wade Log Antenna was developed over 60 years ago and when tested by the Grand Alliance in 1996, was found to be the optimum antenna for digital off-air reception. We strengthened our market position, distribution channels, and customer service by acquiring TACO Antenna and Delhi Antenna Products in 2001. TACO Antenna was founded in 1934 in New York City as manufacturer of AM/FM couplers. The company later moved into making VHF and UHF antennas for civil and military aviation and shipboard communications, and this has been its focus for several decades. Delhi specialized in light duty towers and mounting products, and that tradition continues very successfully to this day. In 2006, Wade Antenna acquired the product rights to Lindsay Antenna, a competitor in the cable television industry. Customers include the Federal Aviation Administration, several branches of the US Military (DoD), NAV Canada, Canadian Forces (DND), Rockwell Collins, IBM, Park Air Systems, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, ARINC, Harris, Department of Homeland Security, General Dynamics and many other system integrators.
