Allomet Corporation
www.allomet.comAllomet produces EternAloy TCHP (Tough-Coated Hard Powders), a nano-engineered powdered metal product line that offers combined hardness and toughness beyond any other material ever produced and enable extreme wear-resistance. We utilize a flexible, proprietary, globally-patented, nanotechnology-based process to carefully coat 2-50 micron-sized hard core particles (ceramics, superhards, carbides) of any shape with 50-500 nanometer-thin tough coatings and an extremely strong outer shell coating to create EternAloy® TCHP. Employing conventional methods, TCHP is then applied as a surface coating (via thermal spray or laser metal deposition) or pressed and sintered into solid body shapes (cutting tools, wire dies, etc.). The resulting applications exhibit unsurpassed levels of extreme wear-resistance over a very wide temperature range for high-value applications where productivity, reliability, efficiency, and safety are a critical priority to the customer. The TCHP production process is customizable to meet desired specifications, allowing a hard core particle to be selected from a range of 30 types to provide desired thermal conductivity/insulation, strength, wear, fatigue life, and toughness characteristics. Applications can include: Machine tools Wire dies Ballistics Turbine and aircraft components Oil and gas drills Automotive engine components Bearings Rollers/extruders Hazardous waste storage containers Heat exchangers Valves Pipe interiors/exteriors Medical devices
