www.cfgliders.comHistory: The Central Florida Gliders is a youth track and field and cross country club serving youth primarily from elementary school through high school ages. Founded in 1989 by Craig Wise, the Gliders and Gliders’ alumni have achieved success in local, state, national, and international competition. Purpose and Function: The Central Florida Gliders motivates athletes to aspire to achieve leadership, discipline, and integrity through the sports of track and field and cross country. The individual who makes the attempt is as much a part of the group as he or she who attains the highest level of achievement. We train athletes for cross country running and all track and field events, with special focus on multievents and hurdles. Key Events: The Club hosts two important annual meets: The Central Florida Gliders Spring Track Classic and the AAU National Cross Country Championship Florida Qualifier. A 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization: The Club is a self-governing, self-supporting organization certified in the state of Florida as a nonprofit corporation and exempt from federal income tax as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations are tax deductible. The club is run by volunteer coaches, volunteer assistants, and parents. Corporate and individual donations, grants, and sponsorships are key to our success.
