Mr. Tallon began his career in the Workers’ Compensation field in 1973. At that time he was appointed Assistant to the Chairman of the Illinois Industrial Commission, the predecessor agency of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, the “court system” for work injuries here in Illinois. He left state government and entered private law practice in 1978. For the past three decades, Mr. Tallon has concentrated his law practice representing injured workers throughout the state of Illinois handling claims before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission as well as representing seriously injured workers before Federal Administrative Law Judges of the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication. Mr. Tallon is also an avid aviation enthusiast and commutes around the State of Illinois in his private aircraft allowing Fitz & Tallon, L.L.C. to readily handle client’s cases from Rockford to Carbondale and all points in between. Mr. Tallon has also been an author and lecturer on Workers’ Compensation for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and he has also published an Illinois Disability Impairment Conversion Table that is used by the Arbitrators of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission as well as major workers’ compensation insurance carriers throughout the State of Illinois.
