ABEL ROV Training Division offers ROV Pilot/Technician courses following IMCA guidelines. Abel created the ROV Training Division to train new personnel and to keep experienced staff updated with current developments in the ROV industry. Abel ROV Training Division believes that practice is fundamental, especially for those who are new to ROV’s. It is for this reason that Abel guarantees at least 12 hours flying time with real ‘live’ ROV, as opposed to simulators. Practical sessions are made of increasing levels of difficulty, simulating real working operations generally encountered offshore. All courses are designed to transmit a general and complete overview of the ROV Pilot/Technician role, ranging from technical skills for ROV operation and maintenance to the knowledge of the work environment and applicable regulations. Additional specific matters can be included to the courses, tailoring the training to particular participants’ needs.
