The National Olympic Committee of Lithuania (LNOC) ir a part of global Olympic Movement. It is an independent, non-profit organisation. The Committee sends Lithuanian athletes to compete in Olympic Games and other Olympic events - European Games, Youth Olympic Games and Youth Festivals. LNOC provides financing for athletes'' training, supports Lithuanian sports federations, allocates scholarships for athletes, executes targeted training programs for coaches and sports doctors, empowers the development of sports science and medicine in Lithuania. LNOC implements the agenda and programs of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It finances and executes Olympic Education projects, promotes gender equality in sports, fair play, sports for all and Olympic Movement in general.
