In 2007, as I was planning my retirement of 30 years of law enforcement, I learned I had breast cancer. But I would not let cancer take control of my life, because I had things to do! I retired as planned from the Dane County Sheriff's Office. I have made it my mission to help fight this fight so others don't have to go through it, or worse, we lose another loved one to this terrible disease.
