St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle / King County
www.svdpseattle.orgWe serve everyone. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides financial, material, educational, moral, and other kinds of support to people in need. We also collaborate with other community organizations to help people achieve self-sufficiency. We are part of an international organization established in 1833 and have operated in Seattle and King County since 1920. Our volunteers meet with neighbors in their homes, to establish trusting relationships through honest and understanding communications. These visits enable us determine the exact nature and detail of what we can do to offer assistance. We help people with rent, utilities, food, clothing and furnishings from our five thrift stores and much more. We have a food bank on Fourth Avenue South in Seattle that serves over 140,000 people per year. And our Case Management program helps people return to self-sufficiency. We are compassionate, competent and reliable business-like stewards of the money people donate to us. About 90 cents of every dollar donated to us goes directly to programs.
