Heya Masr is a nonprofit focused on character building and emotional intelligence education with the application of strong good minds and decision making when it comes to nutritional healthy habits and sexual harassment awareness combined with self-defense basic training to boost self-confidence and self-esteem. We believe these are the key points to build a well-rounded personality that challenges the present circumstances and builds a better future for girls and Egypt. Mission: Heya Masr is a volunteer-based social enterprise-initiative in Egypt with a mission of restoring a sense of dignity and pride in the young Egyptian women (ages 9-18) by building their self-confidence and empowering them mentally and physically to develop and strengthen their character from the ground up by providing a nurturing, safe environment for physical activity and sport, nutritional and healthy lifestyle techniques, character development activities, sexual harassment awareness, and self-defense strategies. Heya Masr is empowering the young generation of girls now for a better Egypt tomorrow. Heya Masr targets young middle-class and disadvantaged women in Egyptian society. Our goal is achieved through organizing self-sustaining community-based programs focusing on character development through educational classes on nutritional wellness, harassment awareness and self-defense. These programs are held in partnership with local organizations, schools, and youth centers to empower teen women to grow stronger, hopeful, and effective members of society. We adopt a proactive strategy rather than a reactive one. We believe impacting women during adolescence to be stronger, stable, more confident, and independent impacts Egypt's future generations.
