KGL Ports International (KGL PI) core business in seaport development, management, operations and provision of port services in the Middle East and Africa. KGL PI inherited the legacy of KGL providing stevedoring services in the port of Shuwaikh as well as terminal management, operations and stevedoring services in the port of Shuaiba. In addition to activities in Shuaiba Port, KGL PI won a 21-year concession agreement to design, construct and manage a container terminal at Saqr Port in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Additionally, the company has also secured a 40-year concession agreement with Damietta Port Authority in Egypt in May 2006, for the construction, development and operation of $1B deep-water container terminal. KGL PI is an ISO 9001 certified company. KGL PI’s three major active projects include the Kuwait Port Authority 34 Project (KPA 34) which involves the procurement and installation of Korean manufactured gantry cranes and other yard equipment as well as the continuous operations and maintenance of this equipment; The Oman Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services Project (S&RTS) providing stevedoring services at the port of Salalah and secure transportation between the port and Thumrait Air Base; The US Armey’s Container Repair and Maintenance project in Kuwait which is a service provided to the US Army to restore damaged US Government-owned shipping containers.
