Scouring best in class programs in the country, Mass STEM Hub (a project of the One8 Foundation) works alongside k-12 schools to provide the next level of STEM options, authentically engaging students so they gain critical thinking, complex problem solving and collaboration skills crucial to their college and career success in a rapidly changing world. Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is Mass STEM Hub's first initiative, increasing access to k-12 computer science, biomedical science and engineering curriculum. With PLTW, classrooms come alive – PLTW curriculum uses Applied Learning, meaning students learn by doing. Students in our classes report higher engagement and enjoyment in their classes and a stronger interest in pursuing STEM fields, and colleges report that PLTW students are better prepared for success.
