For over 40 years, Families Canada has been promoting healthy child development using a strength-based approach to family capacity building. Our members across Canada offer community hubs of social services and support approximately half a million vulnerable families. Families Canada is the authoritative voice on what families need to thrive; our programs and services increase the capacity of front-line workers and promote resilient families that can nurture healthy children. We provide accessible, modern, and evidence-based resources for family support practitioners aimed at families with children pre-natal to-six, adolescents, teens and offer specific supports to very young parents, fathers, Indigenous families, new Canadian families, foster and newly adoptive parents, and older Canadians.
