Menopause 360

www.menopause360.co.uk

With an ever-ageing female workforce, there is an opportunity for organisations to embrace menopause awareness and to recognise and reap the benefits of being menopause savvy. By talking about menopause openly, raising awareness, training, and putting the right support in place, we can get to a point in the future where menopause is no longer referred to as the last workplace taboo. Today, however, it remains hidden with potentially significant consequences for both employees and employers. We want everyone to understand what menopause is, by debunking the myths and replacing with facts. We want those experiencing menopause symptoms to feel confident and able to talk to their line manager, colleagues, and GP, and ask for help if needed. This is important because 100% of women will transition through menopause – that’s half the population. We often talk about mental health, but mental health programmes rarely include menopause health. Yet, many of the symptoms associated with mental health in middle-aged women are antecedent of the menopause, such a brain fog, forgetfulness, anxiety, and low mood. Many women are not educated to recognise the signs of menopause, with many believing the natural occurrence of menopauses happens in later life. The reality of the situation is 1 in 100 will experience menopause before age 40. It’s now time to change and get the conversation started. Menopause 360 is here to help guide, educate and support you and your employees.
