ACE MV Continuing Education Marthas Vineyard
www.acemv.orgACE MV is a 501c3 nonprofit established in 2008 on Martha’s Vineyard, a unique, ocean-bounded Island off the coast of Cape Cod. Because there is no college or university on the Island (which is comprised of six towns and a year-round population of approx 20,000), individuals need access to educational opportunities, especially workforce and professional credentials. ACE MV is the only entity on the Island to provide certificates, licenses, PDPs, CEUs, and undergraduate and graduate degrees for Vineyard residents. We partner with 4 community colleges and universities as well as state agencies to bring needed workforce education and training to Martha’s Vineyard, and we support the year-round population with seminars, workshops, learning opportunities, and dialogue to address both workforce and societal needs. Our programs support professionals in the trades, health care, business, renewable energy, and more, and we also serve our local high schools by providing dual enrollment opportunities, career readiness, and internships. Our board of directors (10 individuals) is committed to providing affordable and accessible education to Vineyard residents with the vision that we are equipping our community with positive change partners, and providing trained professionals to help all ages and sectors in our community thrive.
