The Association of Hungarian Ph.D. and DLA Students, the largest advocacy organization of the Hungarian Ph.D. and DLA students is organized at a national level. The Association of Hungarian Ph.D. and DLA Students was established 20 years ago, but during this time were made some organizational and also structural changes. On 19th Students was established as a public body. The Association of Hungarian Ph.D. and DLA Students, as a public body, it is specified in the National Law of Higher Education, which was accepted by the Hungarian Parliament in 2011. The Association of Hungarian Ph.D. and DLA Students, being a public body, represents all Ph.D. and DLA students in the Hungarian higher education system, their estimated number being 7000. After the organizational change we started to organize its own academic departments, based on scientific orientations. The organizational model used for creating the academic departments is the Hungarian Academy of Science. Until this moment were established 20 different academic departments of the organization. Their members are Ph.D. and DLA students, and the total number of whom joined these departments would be around 500 Ph.D. and DLA students.
