Vox Ama Deus is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring to life, through performance and education, the music of the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical Periods. Vox Ama Deus Consists of three ensembles: Camerata Ama Deus, Ama Deus Ensemble and Vox Renaissance Consort. Camerata Ama Deus cosists of fifteen to twenty-five professional orchestral musicians who perform on authentic period instruments...both actual ancient instruments and others which are recreations of originals preserved in museums. The Ama Deus Ensemble (established in 1991) is formed by the union of our vocal and instrumental ensembles. The group generally performs the “larger” works, both orchestral and vocal-symphonic. Often appearing in the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, the ensemble offers repertoire which includes Baroque & Classical period masterworks. Vox Renaissance Consort, founded by Maestro Radu in 1987, features sixteen to twenty professional singers, and a small ensemble of period instrumental artists, in intimate concerts of musical gems from the European High Renaissance (ca. 1500 to 1650).
