In nearly all cases, Pirates were people that stepped away from oppression of some degree. Pirates were some of the first proponents of Egalitarianism – or equalitarianism. They prioritized equality for all people. They maintained that all humans are equal in fundamental worth or social status. They were some of the first to operate based upon democratic agreement or constitution that ensured fair and equal treatment and that clearly defined a basic set of operating principles. Pirates were not really focused gold and silver. Instead, they set up extensive trade routes extending from the far north Nordic countries to America to Persia and Asia. In many circumstances, the local people overwhelmingly supported pirates. Pirates treated them with dignity and paid them fairly for their goods – unlike the oppressive and crooked monarchies. OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES Some men bow and are defeated by the oppression and self-serving rules of others. They live as slaves and zombies based on the self-serving rules and norms and expectations of others. Pirates stand up and take action. They refuse to live their life enslaved to a system that is created and maintained to benefit the few. Pirates never compromise their guiding principles. Pirates seek to free people from oppression and slavery… especially from the lies that enslave people’s hearts and minds and spirits.
