San José Valdeflórez is a last generation integrated project, destined to process the lithium of the Valdeflórez area in Cáceres. The mineral will be extracted through a very advanced industrial process and without risk to the environment; and this will be processed entirely in the adjacent plant, until it becomes lithium hydroxide, an essential component ready for the manufacture of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, and in particular of the lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles. With an investment of over €280M, San José Valdeflórez will require 310 professionals during its construction phase, and at least 195 during its operation life cycle.
