Manado Independent School (MIS) formerly 'Manado International School', is a private christian institution which provides quality education from Kindergarten age (K1) to Senior High School (Grade 12). MIS is the first school in the Region that was granted with the international school license No. 992/C/LN/2009 by the National Education Department as a school of international standard (Sekolah Berstandar International). All sections of MIS are accredited by the Badan Akreditasi Sekolah Nasional of Indonesia, with “A” (excellent) classifications. The grade levels provided are: Kindergarten (ECP) : Pre-K (Nursery), K-1 and K-2 Elementary School : Grades 1 to 6 (SD) Middle School : Grades 7 to 9 (SMP) High School : Grades 10 to 12 (SMU) The ultimate goal of Manado International School is to assist and facilitate students in attaining a high standard of educational excellence, religious and moral values and emotional strength.
