www.ewb.org.nzEngineers Without Borders New Zealand (EWBNZ) is a member based not for profit organisation with a vision for a world where everyone has access to the engineering knowledge and resources required to lead a life of opportunity, free from poverty. EWBNZ is a movement of professionals and students with strong values and a passion for humanitarian engineering within New Zealand and the South Pacific. We have a shared belief that engineering leadership has an important role to play in sustainable human development, and that engineers have a responsibility to provide effective and innovative solutions in addressing the challenges of equality, poverty alleviation, and sustainability. EWBNZ works in partnership to address a lack of access to basic human needs such as clean water, sanitation and hygiene, energy, basic infrastructure, waste systems, information communication technology and engineering education. We educate and train students, engineers and the wider community on issues including sustainable development, appropriate technology, poverty and the power of humanitarian engineering.
