Everything Optometry Victoria South Australia (OV/SA) does is guided by our diverse, vibrant membership of over 1,800 optometrists practising across South Australia and Victoria. We take time to consult and listen to their views, ideas and concerns. We visit them in their practice, chat to them at education events and social occasions, or just pick up the phone. By getting to know members’ individual challenges and aspirations, we are well placed to utilise both national and state resources and expertise to provide the support, advice and events members need at a time and place that suits them best. On top of that we believe everyone living in Victoria and South Australia deserves the best in primary eye health and vision care. Our mission is to lead, engage, unite and promote optometry and optometrists to ensure the sustainability and continuous evolution of this important sector for improved community eye health. We encourage everyone to see their optometrist for regular eye examinations. We are a federated, not-for-profit organisation, meaning all of our profits are reinvested into services for our members. We’re comprised of national organisation Optometry Australia, which collaborates with the five state bodies, including OV/SA.
