The inherent design of a bamboo rod means that they are solid in nature, the methods used manage to concentrate the power fibres of a bamboo culm into a single fly rod blank. This gives them a wonderful action and smooth casting stroke that make them the ultimate implement for fly fishing in the traditional realm of streams and rivers. Bamboo fly rods are also adaptable, fishing lighter or with a silk fly line given their lower wind resistance will tend to quicken your cast, while a heavier line weight, or plastic line, will tend to give you a slower cast whilst the rod loads in the hand..
