In 2014, a group of Atlanta businesspeople launched a summer internship program for students in between their first and second years of college. The program allows students to rotate among various types of companies, so that they could learn more about various occupations as an input into their decision about where to focus their academic studies. The program also offers an introduction to different types of professional work environments, and early networking opportunities with participating companies and students. The program rotates students through companies operating in a variety of industries including media, investment banking, private equity, advertising, accounting, technology, real estate and money management.
