Ernie’s Van & Storage was established in 1935 in Berkeley, CA by Ernie Sowell. This original location of our moving company ran continuously until 2001. Our location in Grass Valley, CA was opened in 1976 by brothers Douglas and Stuart Sowell. Together they have built Ernie’s Van & Storage into one of the premier moving companies in Northern California. In June 2014, a second location was opened in Rocklin, CA, approximately 35 miles south of the Grass Valley location. Opened a third location in Reno NV in 2020
