In 2007, we started as a small team of culinarians and food scientists working to enrich every bag of Frito-Lay products with more vibrant and enticing flavors developed with culinary expertise in mind through our Gold Standard flavor development process. It wasn’t long before we opened research kitchens around the world to make sure that each new taste was inspired by the cuisines and flavors of the region in which it was to be enjoyed. This immersive, in-depth flavor exploration would become the backbone of our approach to foodservice innovation. In 2011, we began working side-by-side with key foodservice customers to craft new items specifically for their menus and guests. DORITOS® Locos Tacos was the first innovation, and, as “one of the most successful fast food innovations of all time,” it was revolutionary. Mac n’ CHEETOS® Breaded Macaroni & Cheese Snacks, and and DORITOS® Loaded® Breaded Cheese Snacks quickly followed. These ideas triggered waves of creativity in our kitchens and, in 2016, we began transforming our family of popular brands into original, cutting edge ingredients that any foodservice establishment could use.
