Duenke Enterprises is part of set of real estate businesses owned by the family of Burton Duenke. Burton first began his career in real estate by constructing homes in the Saint Louis area after World War II. He diversified his business through the 1950s and expanded to Lake of the Ozarks area in the 1960s. Burton loved the beauty and atmosphere of the area, and seen the potential for growth. Beginning with a set of vacation cabins, Tan-Tar-A grew to become one of the premiere resorts in the area and was the stimulus for other projects, including Tan-Tar-A Estates, Oak Creek, and Palisades Village. Now in the care of second and third generations of the Duenke family, The Estates at Palisades Highlands and Palisades Commons have been added to our real estate portfolio of developed properties. Duenke Enterprises is unique with its commitment and concern for the environment and the community.
