Established by Hugh O’Sullivan in 1975, the TUMU Group has grown from humble beginnings as a lumber yard in Dannevirke into one of the largest privately owned businesses in Hawke’s Bay. Over the past 45 years, the TUMU Group has strategically integrated and diversified our business, mostly across Hawke’s Bay and the wider East Coast regions. We continue to invest heavily in the local community and local people, now employing more than 600 staff across our timber processing & manufacturing, building supplies, finance, investment, and property ventures.
