The department of Chemistry at Syracuse University is located in the Center for Science & Technology on the eastern edge of campus. CST houses modern research laboratories and office space for all of our faculty and students, as well as research support services and administration. Our teaching laboratories are in the new state of the art Life Sciences Complex. The department is well-equipped, with state-of-the-art research facilities, and an outstanding technical support staff. Available instrumentation includes NMR and X-ray crystallography facilities, an ultrafast laser laboratory, several high-resolution spectrophotometers and fluorimeters, electrochemical analyzers, HPLC systems, polarimeters, IR and Raman spectrometers, instrumentation for GC-MS and LC-MS measurements, to name a few. Other support services include the Chemistry Stores, and electronics and glass blowing shops, where highly specific research equipment is designed and fabricated. The Science & Technology Library offers an outstanding collection of scientific literature and electronic resources.
