Yorkshire Family Mediation Service
www.yfms.co.ukYFMS is a non-profit organisation, specialising in helping people make plans for the future following separation or divorce – agreeing arrangements for their children and property and financial settlements. We also assist grandparents wishing to arrange time with their grandchildren and mediate between other family members where there has been a break-down in relationships and communication. Our Mediators come from a range of different backgrounds – family law, finance, family support and are fully qualified and accredited by the Family Mediation Council. They work to help those involved reach realistic and achievable agreements through discussion, bring balance to discussions and help communication so that things can be agreed and both parties can start to move on with their lives. As well as working with adults in mediation, our mediators are qualified to consult with children as part of their parents’ mediation. We also assist grandparents wishing to arrange time with their grandchildren and mediate between other family members where there has been a break-down in relationships and communication. We can usually offer an appointment with a mediator within two weeks – or sooner at our mediation rooms in central Leeds or central Bradford. Our Leeds office on Sovereign Street is a 2 minute walk from Leeds Railway Station, our Bradford Office at Manor Row is a 5 minute walk from Forster Square Station, or 10 minutes from Bradford Interchange.
