The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management oversees the Mays Business School Management Information Systems (MIS) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) programs. Our mission is to advance the field of information sciences through quality education, active partnerships, and research initiatives. Our department ranks among the top in the world in terms of research productivity, impact, and visibility. Our department offers four undergraduate and graduate degrees in the areas of Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. The Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management programs provide students with the business, technical, and leadership skills necessary to meet the challenges presented in each study’s respective field. For the past five years, MIS and supply chain management majors have earned the highest average starting salary of any undergraduate degree program in Mays Business School. The Masters of Science in Management Information Systems (MS-MIS) degree provides a world-class education in technical information systems and business. Our career placement data is a testament to the quality and success of our program. The Ph.D. in Business Administration – Operations and Supply Chain Management has a strong research orientation and a systems point of view, stressing the comprehension of a functional business nexus and the importance of effective decision making.
